What the Poker Chips are made of
There are numerous motives for exploring the various poker chip sets. It could all have to do with straightforward fascination with the colors and lots of styles which can be observed in these poker chips, whilst for other people, it might be part of education and background information work on the much bigger subject of playing holdem poker. However whatever the reason, the following are the fundamentals.
Start with the kind of poker chips to work with. Based on the price range as well as the quality of poker chips that you would like to own, there are 3 primary different types to select from. First are the plastic material poker chips, that are considerably less expensive and lighter in weight. These kinds of poker chips are frequently used by beginners or home players who play largely for entertainment and not to make money. If you want a great upgrade, on the other hand, you can pick between metal core chips and clay poker chips. The two are utilized extensively within casinos and are usually part of nearly all serious player’s equipment. These are both composite poker chips, where the metal core chips are encased with plastic material, whilst the clay chips contain additional materials included into the clay blend to help to make them more robust.

With so many 500 poker chip sets available on the market it’s sometimes hard to choose the right set for you. The 4 aces poker chips are appealing for several reasons:
- The graphics on these chips are really sharp – virtually no color bleeding unlike a lot of other composite chips.
- Chips have denominations – everyone hates “How much are the Blue chips worth” every 5 minutes!
- One of the lagest selections of denominations – 10 different denominations from $1 to $10,000 allowing a lot of flexibility in the game you play, (rhigh stakes with the bank manger and low stakes with Grandma)
- 11.5g chips – the preferred chip weight for most home poker games (metal insert gives the additional weight)
- Attractive graphics – 4-of-a-kind poker hand in aces surrounding the denomination. Each denomination is a slightly different label color, matching the color of the chips’ stripes. Check out the pictures.
- Comes complete with a the highest quality aluminum chip case on the market, 2 decks of playing cards and 3 buttons: Dealer, Big Blind and Little Blind.

How Many Poker Chips do you need in a Poker Chip Set?

The first and foremost question that has to be answered when buying poker chip sets does not mean that you need to be a mathematician. You simply need to ask yourself how many players will be actually playing and how many chips are needed by these players during a game of poker.
The popular options would be 300 chips and 500 chips. These are very much available in the market. In addition, there are also other sets available, such as 200 pokerchips, 400 poker chips, 750 chips and even 1000 poker chips in a poker chip set. To help you make your decision, you really need to start with a number of players in mind.
The following is a viable suggestion that would work and suffice for any number of games: 300 chips for 3 to 4 players, 400 to 500 chips for 4 to 6 players, 500 to 650 chips for 6 to 8 players, and 1000 and above chips for 8 or more players. If you are going to base the number of chips per player, 35 chips is good enough, but you might want to consider using 50 chips per player. Although these may be suggestions, keep in mind still that you can never go wrong when you choose a higher number of chips for a certain number of players. You can never have too many poker chips, it is just a question of how much you can afford.
